Adding Fees, Taxes, and Deposit
- From the Host Dashboard go to Listings
- Use the Details button on the listing you want to edit
- On the left navigation select 'Taxes and Fees'
- Here you select the type of fee such as pet, cleaning, or additional guest, or you can make a custom fee and name it appropriately
- For Standard Fees: these can be daily or by stay, and must be set up with a dollar value for each
- When you are setting fees for extra guests, there must be an occupancy total that is met before the extra guest fee is implemented. For example, if you have occupancy set for 6 guests, but will accept a booking for up to 8 guests, the extra guest fee will be implemented for guest 7 and 8.
Adding Custom Fees
- From the Host Dashboard go to Listings
- Use the Details button on the listing to be updated
- Select Taxes and Fees on the left navigation menu
- Go to the Custom Fees area on the bottom
- Custom Fees have several categories: Status / Name / Fee / Application / Actions
- Select Add New Fee
- There will be a new window where you can enter the details
- Always remember to SAVE
Additional Details about Fees
- Any fees added that are applicable will be incorporated in the guest quote
- The setting on fees impacts the quote: Mandatory is always included, Optional is based on the quote details and can be things such as pool heating, added-on utilities, and more, and Info Only will show on the quote, but not include the dollar amount for example Damage or Refundable Deposits
Additional Details about Taxes
- To set up, go to Details tab on the listing you are updating
- Select Taxes and Fees on the left navigation menu
- Taxes section is on the bottom
- Select Add New Tax
- Fill out the details on the pop up window
- Status, Name and Tax Amount are the data points you will complete
- Add all the information and note that taxes are set up as a % amount only
- Remember to click SAVE
