Enjoyed our Stay

"I was a little leery about this property after having read the most recent comments. So, onto my review… the pictures depict what the house looks like inside and out. The beach is an easy block or so away to be able to walk it. If you have lots of items, may want to consider bringing a wagon. Back yard space is just right with plenty of seating. The grill is similar to those at a park, but worked perfectly for everything we threw on it. The comments about having no umbrella is correct. There is, however, some shade over the pool during the early hours because of the palm trees and then it starts getting nice around 6ish. The pool is refreshing after a day at the beach, and yes, debris does get in it, but we just skimmed out what we could and it was fine for relaxing. Pool crew showed up at some point during our stay and did a clean out. The downstairs has plenty of seating areas and eating spaces. The kitchen is STOCKED full of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, etc.; there was a starter for dish soap, paper towels and dishwasher. There is a Smart TV downstairs with streaming services available. The walls could use a painting as it has a 'worn' look about it, but not a deterrent. Having the downstairs bathroom was a plus! The garage has an extra fridge which came in handy as well as a washer and dryer (with starter laundry soap). The bedrooms upstairs are all nice with plenty of space, closets, pillows and drawers. Two of the rooms allow for dvds only while the master bedroom has Roku. The bathrooms had starter shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and soap. We were informed ahead of time on items we may need extras of so we brought them and were fine. The shower out front came in handy after a day at the beach. Parking is limited if you have two or more larger vehicles, but we made do with the space that was there. There were some minor items that the SPI Rental staff were quick to remedy when called. They were friendly and very accommodating. We would rent this property again with no problem."

Needs updating

"The house was a block from the beach. It needs serious updating. The furniture is shabby and the whole place needs painting. The pool was awesome but there is zero shade in the back. The owner should put a umbrella out there on the picnic table. Bring DVDs with you because only the master and downstairs tv has cable. So you will be bored if you don't bring movies. The guest rooms doors don't open and the blinds don't close so getting undressed was interesting in those rooms"

Disappointed

"This property met our functional needs (except for swimming pool, see below). Aesthetically it leaves a lot be desired. The walls and furniture and decor need a lot of TLC and refreshing. The pool filtration system was not adequate. We accepted that but the last day there were high winds. When we returned to the property for an evening swim the pool was full of debris and not swimmable and too late to call for service. The single skimmer seemed to not be working at all. We have stayed in SPI several times. This property cost us $630 per night total and it was not worth it."

Loved this rental!

"The unit was clean, had everything we needed, and was just perfect for our vacation. We wish we stayed longer! The walk to the beach was quick and easy. The pool was perfect for our stay. We had such a good time here. I would absolutely book this unit again!"
